Dear Friends and colleagues,
In consultation with the local organizers and the scientific committee of the TRI2022 conference, we regret to announce that due to the still unpredictable situation and the high health and financial risks involved, the TRI 2022 conference has to be cancelled.
We are convinced that scientific exchange, collaborations and discussions are important to bring the field forward. Therefore we want to encourage you all to think about alternative ways how to communicate and discuss about our research. These times are also a chance to develop new and innovative ways for science communication that can help to overcome these times where large international conferences are not possible. We want mention two initiatives here:
The TRI Online Academy has started last year with monthly online talks about tinnitus treatment and research. Every third wednesday of the month, the TRI online academy is presented at 12.00 pm CET.
Tinnitus at the Lake - UNITI meets TRI: We decided to modify our European UNITI network meeting and add a two-day, small event „Tinnitus at the Lake: UNITI meets TRI“. The UNITI network meeting is now scheduled for June 28-29 in Herrsching, Germany, and the „Tinnitus at the Lake“ will be June 30 – July 1 (almost the same date that was intended for the TRI2022 conference). According to the current regulations, maximal 80 people can participate at this meeting. However, if the situation should ease in early summer, we can react in an uncomplicated and flexible manner and possibly expand the number of participants. The meeting concept will be very interactive to stimulate a lively discussion.

We want to motivate everybody to think and organize additional initiatives. Let’s work together to bring the tinnitus research field forward.
